About

My name is Jennifer Hand and I am a Digital Learning Facilitator in Asheville, NC.  I have had other careers but none as rewarding as education.  It is great that I can be an educator AND teach technology!  Two of my favorite things.

I have spent the past 16 years in education working in Florida, Kansas and North Carolina.  I am certified for Business 6-12, Library Media and Instructional Technology and have taught a variety of technology based classes, including video production, multimedia design and computer science.

Prior to teaching, I spent 15 years working in broadcast communications and public relations working with numerous clients including Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

I hold a BS in Marketing from University of South Florida, a Library Media Specialist endorsement from Fort Hays State University and an MS in Instruction Design and Technology from Emporia State University.

I have presented at school, district and state levels including conferences such as MACE, KBEA and NAPDS.  I love sharing with others and continue to present when requested.

I believe it is important to understand technology as a way to communicate and enrich learning within the curriculum.  This doesn’t mean technology just because we can but because it is meaningful and engages learners.

I hope this website will help you learn about new technologies and inspire you to integrate them into your curriculum.
